We needed them to change his catheter according to the Doctors orders, and needed them 24 hours a day for Saturday and Sunday. When the RN came to change the catheter she didn't even have any catheters with her and did nothing for my dad. She took pictures of his bed sores and then left the camera at the house so she obviously wasn't concerned with getting him the medicated patches to help heal the bed sores. We were originally told the RN would have all the supplies to change the catheter but she ended not having any with her and ordered it through the mail. I will say that the nurses that came the 2 weekends to sit with my dad were good.

On the 3rd week they called my dad's private nurse and told them they had no one to come for the 3rd weekend. We finally did get a nurse out to change the catheter but that was like pulling teeth also. We had to call them and they didn't know if they get someone to come that day even though it was late being changed and he had a UTI. We are private pay and my dad's house is clean with no pets. Wellcare is NOT dependable and if you care about your loved one you may want to find alternate care.
